The center of the bay is deep and you can often find a pod of spinner dolphins that use the bay as resting grounds. Kealakekua Bay is one of the jewels of the South Kona district. You can find world-class snorkeling waters in a tropical bay. The whole region is rich in history and spans both a marine life conservation district and a state historical park.
