Back indoors, the dining room is through an arch off the living area. It is furnished with a dining table and chairs. The open-plan kitchen leads off the dining area. If you can tear yourself away from the sea, there is a lot of history to explore. The charming port of Bakar is just 15 minutes away and makes a wonderful day trip or evening out. Or there is the town of Kraljevica (18 minutes) which has not one, but two, castles as well as the Adriatic’s oldest shipbuilding yard. The city of Rijeka (5 mins) also makes a fascinating day out. Croatia’s main port has plenty of interesting places to visit. For self-catering the market (Monday to Saturday mornings) is worth a trip. Here you can find local produce to prepare and enjoy back at home.
