From here you can see the famous island of Tavolara, which is well worth a day trip for hiking, swimming and lunch at the famous Da Tonino restaurant, run by the island’s current king. There is a regular boat service from Porto San Paolo’s dock (15 minutes). The city of Olbia is just 20 minutes away by car. There is so much to see and do there, including the famous Basilica di San Simplicio. For self-catering, the city hosts farmers’ markets 3 days a week, the best being the Saturday market in Via Sangallo (20 minutes).
