There are many small grocery stores selling local produce within walking distance, as well as bars and restaurants. There is much to see in the historic town, with the Museo Civico, the Rocca fortress and the Torre Apponale, the tall clock tower dating back to the 13th Century all within 15-minute walking distance. On the waterfront, there are cafes and restaurants, indulge in a coffee or ice cream and watch the world go by. Popular with water sports the Lake is known for its sailing and windsurfing. In Riva, it is possible to hire boats and boards, or just simply go for a swim! For the more adventurous it is possible to visit the waterfalls and caves at Cascata Del Varone, a short 10-minute drive away or hike Monte Baldo. The trailhead for Monte Baldo is about a 60-minute drive.
