However, guests are not very far from the city's amenities; the bus n° 12 connects Brè to the centre of Lugano every 30 minutes. The bus stop is just a 4-minute walk from here. With the Monte Brè Funicular, you can reach Cassarate with runs every 30 minutes and is a 7-minute drive or a 25-minute hike (passing the breathtaking Panoramic Viewpoint of Bre) from here. From the apartment, the park, Museum Wilhein Shmid, open-air market stalls and the Salotto BRÈ and Grotto Castagneto are about a 5-minute walk away. During the opening hours of the funicular, there are also two other nice restaurants with panoramic terraces: Vetta Restaurant and Osteria Funicolare at the Vetta del Monte Brè, which can be reached in approx. 30 minutes' walk from the village.
