Location Whether you are in Lugano for business or pleasure, there is plenty for you to enjoy during your stay. The apartment’s central location makes it very easy to explore the city on foot. Lugano is in the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland and combines the best of both cultures. This heritage is celebrated at MASI (the Museum of Art of Italian Switzerland) (20-minute walk). A day trip on the Lago Lugano is a must. Lugano Centrale ferry terminal is only a 3-minute walk from the apartment. Lugano’s famous waterfront, with breathtaking views over the lake, is close by. Another favourite is Piazza della Riforma (2-minute walk), the heart of the city. It is a beautiful square lined with excellent restaurants and cafés. For self-catering, there are many excellent food shops in the city, as well as the farmers market on Tuesday and Friday in Via Carducci (5 minutes walk). The closest international airports are in Italy - Milan Malpensa 1 hour and 10 minutes away by car, or Milan Linate, a 1 hour and 30 minute journey.
