The port of Bakar (13 minutes) is on the way to Kraljevica, and is known for its harbour-front restaurants, which are ideal for an evening out. Rijeka (14 mins) also makes a fascinating day out. Croatia’s main port has plenty of interesting places to visit. For self-catering the market (Monday to Saturday mornings) is worth a trip.
