The apartment enjoys a shady balcony, which serves as an extension to the living space and offers a quiet space for a morning coffee or an evening aperitif. Inside, the open-plan dining room/kitchenette is equipped with: a dining table, a Mokka coffee machine, a cooker hob, an oven and a fridge-freezer. Supermarkets, smaller food shops and a wide range of restaurants and pizzerias to suit all ages and budgets. The neighbouring resort of Porto Cesareo (a 7-minute drive) also has beautiful beaches and lively nightlife. The town’s weekly market (Thursday) is the best place to find the finest local food, including olive oil and a variety of cheeses. Further down the Ionian coast, the historic town of Gallipoli (a 35-minute drive) is a very popular tourist destination during the summer months. In Greek, Gallipoli means “beautiful city”, and the town does not disappoint. The town’s ancient walls soar over the harbour and fishing port. There is a daily fish market where, if you go early, you can pick up the freshest catch of the day.
