Location The apartment is across the road from the shores of Lake Lugano, just a 2-minute drive from the centre of Melide. The town is in a spectacular setting, at the foot of steep, forested hills and the end of a causeway across Lake Lugano. Here, guests will find a supermarket and other amenities, as well as beaches for lake swimming and promenades along the lake shore. It is best known for Swissminiatur, a model village featuring all of Switzerland’s most famous landmarks. It is a great day out for all the family. The Piazza della Riforma is the heart of Lugano (13 minutes drive) and the ideal place for an aperitivo or espresso whilst you watch the world go by. The city of Lugano is well known for its rich cultural heritage. It is home to many museums and galleries. One of the most popular is MASI (the Museum of Art of Italian Switzerland) (11-minute drive) hosts regular contemporary art exhibitions.
