Whether you are in Lugano on business or for pleasure, this modern, air-conditioned apartment, right in the heart of the city, is the ideal base. On the fourth floor (with lift) of a recent development, this 2-bedroom flat sleeps 6 people. The airy living room has a large window and a glass door, leading onto a balcony overlooking the street. There is a large sofa (which converts into a double bed), a Smart TV and a contemporary dining table with 6 chairs. There is plenty of space for people to relax with friends or work in comfort. The spacious, modern kitchen has a breakfast bar next to the large glass door that leads out onto another little balcony. It is equipped with everything you might need for your stay: an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer and a Nespresso machine. Sleeping Bedroom 1: The bright master bedroom has a comfortable double bed and spacious storage. Bedroom 2: A cosy bedroom with 2 Single beds and a large fitted wardrobe. Location On the borders of Switzerland and Italy, Lugano has a rich cultural heritage of which it is justifiably proud. MASI (the Museum of Art of Italian Switzerland) hosts regular contemporary art exhibitions. There are many festivals throughout the year, including “Luganomusica” every summer. The apartment is in a quiet, but extremely central part of Lugano. The lakeside, with its famous promenade, is just a 5-minute walk away. A day trip on the Lago di Lugano, sailing between Switzerland and Italy is a must, as is an aperitivo in the city’s main square, Piazza della Riforma (8 minutes walk). The piazza is lined with many excellent cafés and restaurants. For guests who want to self-cater, the farmers’ market (Tuesdays and Fridays) in Via Carducci (5 minutes walk) is the place to go to pick up the best local ingredients. The closest international airports are in Italy - Milan Malpensa 1 hour and 10 minutes away by car, or Milan Linate, a 1 hour and 20-minute journey. Arriving by train? Lugano’s railway station is a 12-minute walk from the apartment.
