The Area

Istria sits at the northwestern tip of Croatia, a green peninsula where the Adriatic meets a hinterland of vineyards, olive groves and the oak forests around Motovun prized for truffles. Getting There

Istria is among the most accessible corners of the Adriatic. Pula Airport (PUY) sits at the peninsula's southern tip with seasonal connections to many European cities, while Trieste, Rijeka and Zagreb widen the options, each within a comfortable drive. Many guests simply arrive by car, with good motorway links from Slovenia, Italy and central Croatia, and Venice and Ljubljana close enough for a day trip.
