The fishing village of Stara (Old) Novalja (5 minutes) has roots going back millennia, thanks to its sheltered location and temperate climate. There are some interesting archaeological sites as well as a variety of excellent restaurants and cafés. The larger town of Novalja (5 minutes) has an enchanting historic centre, which makes a great spot for an evening stroll before enjoying an aperitif at one of the town’s lovely seafront cafés. The town has farmers and fish markets where you can pick up the best local produce and freshest catch of the day. Zadar International Airport is 1 hour 30 minutes away.
