In the heart of Lugano, this contemporary apartment for 4 people makes the ideal base for a work trip or city break, in the glorious Swiss-Italian Lakes. On the ground floor of an elegant residence, the apartment is modern and sleek. It has been thoughtfully equipped with anything a guest might need for their stay. The living/dining room has pale wooden floors and contemporary furniture including a sofa, flat-screen TV and dining table. The separate kitchen is linked to the dining area by a convenient hatch, making serving meals a breeze. The kitchen has a cooker hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and a coffee machine. The city hosts many festivals throughout the year, including the “Luganomusica” festival every summer. MASI (the Museum of Art Of Italian Switzerland) hosts regular contemporary art exhibitions. A day trip on the Lago di Lugano, sailing between Switzerland and Italy is a must, as is a walk along Lugano’s famous waterfront, with breathtaking views over the lake. For self-catering, there are many excellent food shops in the city, as well as the farmers market on Tuesday and Friday in Via Carducci (8-minute walk). The closest international airports are in Italy - Milan Malpensa 1 hour away by car, or Milan Linate, a 1 hour and 20 minute journey. Arriving by train? Lugano’s railway station is just 7 minutes by taxi from the apartment.
