Guests can explore this fascinating part of Italy, which is blessed with many exceptional archaeological sites as well as beautiful beaches. The house has a private driveway and a delightful, paved terrace which serves as a dining room for meals al fresco. Inside, there is an open-plan living area with cool terracotta tiled floors. It is furnished with an L-shaped sofa, a small dining table for quick snacks and a kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, oven, fridge/freezer and coffee machine. Stairs from the living room lead up to the first-floor bedrooms. Its medieval streets, with pretty squares and excellent restaurants, will keep tempting you back. For self-catering, Agropoli’s weekly market takes place every Thursday morning. It is the best place to pick up the freshest local ingredients. There is also the Cilento Earth Market, which is part of the Slow Food movement, and takes place on the first Sunday of each month. History lovers will be spoiled for choice. The famous ruins of Pompeii are 1 hour and 20 minutes. Closer to home is the fascinating site of Paestum (20 minutes).
