SUMMER & FALL Hike or walk a stretch of the Pacific Crest Trail, paddle and swim at Serene Lakes, or spend the day at Donner Lake. CLIMATE Like most Donner Summit homes, this chalet has no air conditioning; the mountain air stays cool most of the year. Quiet ceiling fans run throughout, and every bedroom has blackout shades. NOISE The property is located near the freeway, and traffic noise and light from passing cars may be noticeable at night, particularly in the primary bedroom. Light sleepers may wish to bring along items such as earplugs, an eye mask, or other personal comforts to ensure a restful night. NO PETS Pets are not allowed at this property. NO SMOKING AND VAPING Smoking is strictly prohibited both inside and outside the home. A fine of $1,000 will be applied to any guest found violating this policy.
