The surroundings of De Hoogmolen exude an atmosphere of tranquility, nature and history. Located on the picturesque Abeek Valley, surrounded by green forests and the gurgling sound of water flowing past the mill. De Hoogmolen itself is a charming water mill that has its origins in the Middle Ages. The house is furnished with care. A refined combination of natural materials and warm colors create a harmonious atmosphere. The presence of cycling nodes, walking nodes and an equestrian and riding route network running through the property offer various opportunities to explore the area. Rider and horse are more than welcome; horses can stay (subject to reservation and additional cost) in a spacious meadow with stables on the domain while the rider can stay in the house. For children, there is a nice outdoor playground where they can have fun. There is also a nice fishing pond for hobby fishermen. Besides hiking, biking and horseback riding, you can also ski/snowboard in the nearby indoor ski slope, swim in the neighboring subtropical swimming pool, seek challenge at racelandkart, visit local breweries, explore surrounding natural areas ...
