Genova is famous for its fine food and has many excellent restaurants to suit all budgets. To fully appreciate the city and its food, the best market is the Mercato Orientale in Via XX Settembre (10-minute walk). Otherwise, there are street markets every day across most of the city. The lively port area, the Porto Antico di Genova is a 10-minute walk from the apartment. This is a large cultural space with events, restaurants, shops and an outdoor swimming pool.
