Co-founder, Smiling House

Moriya Rockman

Moriya Rockman is a co-founder of Smiling House, the Gstaad-based luxury vacation rental group she built together with Ira Rockman. What began with a small collection of alpine chalets in the Saanenland — and a conviction that every guest should be received like a friend arriving at your own home — grew into an international alliance of exceptional private homes, distributed to travel professionals through the company's Villa Tracker platform.

Moriya is the voice of Smiling House in the short-term-rental trade press. She has been profiled by ShortTermRentalz, interviewed by Rental Scale-Up on the future of luxury rental management, and recognised at the Shortyz Awards, where she is a multiple winner. Her subject is consistent across all of it: that luxury in this industry is not thread counts but hospitality — personal, attentive, and accountable to both the guest and the homeowner.

She lives in the Gstaad region with Ira and their seven children, and writes about hospitality, destinations and the business of luxury rentals in the Smiling House journal.
