Smiling House is a member of Swisstainable, the sustainability programme of Swiss Tourism. Born in Gstaad, we joined the movement to hold our Swiss hospitality to the standard our mountains deserve — and to keep learning from the destinations that host our guests.
The partnership has drawn attention across the luxury travel world, and it keeps us honest: sustainability in travel is a practice, not a badge.

Travellers increasingly choose where to stay by their values. Our Sustainable Collection gathers homes that reduce waste, use energy thoughtfully and tread lightly on their surroundings — from efficient heating and water systems to responsible sourcing.
Owners and property managers tell us where their homes lead on sustainability, and we position them in front of the guests who actively seek it.

Through EnviroRental, a free resource hub for the short-term rental industry, the owners we work with gain a practical Sustainability Roadmap, case studies from eco-property owners, webinars, expert articles and measurement tools.
It is a simple way to strengthen green standards home by home — and it means the collection improves every season, rather than standing still.
