Live like a local in downtown Catania! Quietly located on the second floor of a three-story building this spacious apartment comfortably sleeps 7 guests. The apartment enjoys a sunny balcony that can be accessed from the main hallway and two of the bedrooms. The airy, eat-in kitchen enjoys a large picture window and is fully equipped with; a cooker hob, oven, coffee machine, microwave and fridge freezer and is furnished with a dining table and chairs. Sleeping: Bedroom 1: The bright and airy first bedroom is furnished with both a double and a single bed, a large wardrobe and a desk. The floor-to-ceiling glass doors in this bedroom open onto a balcony. Bedroom 2: The second bedroom is furnished with a double bed, a large wardrobe, a wall-mounted TV and enjoys an ensuite bathroom Bedroom 3: The third bedroom is furnished with a double bed, a desk, a TV and a wardrobe. This room also enjoys access to a balcony through floor-to-ceiling glass doors. The city’s history is told through its stunning architecture, from ancient Greek ruins to the majestic Norman cathedral, Duomo di Catania (a 15-minute walk) and the magnificent Baroque palaces, including the Palazzo Biscari (an 11-minute walk). The city’s lively food markets are not to be missed, particularly the daily fish market which can be found behind the cathedral. Here visitors can buy local fruit and meat as well as the catch of the day. Energetic holidaymakers will enjoy the Park of Etna, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, (a 1 hour and 55-minute drive). Guided tours and hiking excursions allow visitors to witness the volcano's awe-inspiring landscapes, including lava fields, smoking craters and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. For something more relaxing, La Playa (a 6-minute drive) is Catania’s most popular beach. This long, wide sandy beach has beach clubs, snack bars, a water park for children and a clean, blue sea. The closest airport to the accommodation is Catania Fontanarossa Airport which is approximately a 12-minute drive away.
