Glass doors lead out onto the spacious balcony which is an extension of the living space, as it is furnished with armchairs and a coffee table, so guests can enjoy drinks al fresco. Sleeping Bedroom 1: This light-filled bedroom has a double bed and extensive wardrobes. Bedroom 2: A cosy bedroom with a double bed and a wardrobe. Extra: The sofa in the dining area converts into a comfortable double bed. Bathrooms The apartment has 2 bathrooms. One has a large bathtub and the second has a shower. Both are appointed with a basin, bidet and a WC. Monopoli is one of Italy’s hidden gems. Known for its lively bars and nightlife, the town’s cathedral and the Castello di Carlo are also worth visiting. For self-catering Monopoli’s vibrant, weekly market (Tuesday and Saturday mornings from 7.30am) is the best place to pick up delicious local produce to cook at home. 
Alberobello, (30 minutes) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as one of the centres of Italy’s Slow Food Movement. The town is a must-see. It is famous for its traditional Trulli houses and excellent restaurants. All along this stretch of coast, visitors will find some of Italy’s most beautiful beaches. North of Monopoli is Polignano a Mare (17 minutes) which offers excellent snorkelling in its clear waters. For history lovers, the archaeological museum at Egnazi (17 minutes) offers a fascinating glimpse into Puglia’s interesting past. The closest airport is at Bari, a 50-minute drive from the apartment.
