Also not to be missed, the Trulli town of Alberobello is a 35-minute drive away and looks like something from a fairytale with its small, conical whitewashed houses, only found in this part of Italy and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Famous for championing the Slow Food movement, the restaurants and cafés are a must. Shops, cafés and other amenities are all within easy reach. Conversano’s vibrant, weekly market (Friday morning from 7.30 am) is on Via Giuseppe Lacalandra, 70014 Conversano, which is a 10-minute walk away. This is a great place to pick up the best local produce and to shop like a local. The closest international airport is at Bari Karol Wojtyła (BRI), approximately a 45-minute drive from the residence.
