The village itself covers the basics with a friendly little market a few minutes from the house, and the pace stays wonderfully unhurried until you choose your direction. The coast comes first for most: the Pirovac waterfront and marina are just a 20-minute drive, with the pine-shaded, family-friendly Starine beach and a supermarket at the town's edge, and the resort buzz of Vodice a short drive further south. Nature answers in two more directions, with Vransko jezero, Croatia's largest lake and a birdwatchers' nature park of boardwalks and observation towers, a 25-minute drive one way, and the waterfalls of Krka National Park the same distance the other.
