While Santa Maria Estate itself is residential, it's just a short drive from Mellieħa town center, where residents can find supermarkets, shops, restaurants, and other essential services. The estate is well-connected by road, making it easy to access other parts of Malta. Public transportation, including buses, serves the area, providing connectivity to nearby towns and Valletta, the capital city.
