The area: luxury villas in Fort Lauderdale
Fort Lauderdale spreads along the Atlantic between Miami and Palm Beach, threaded by more than three hundred miles of canals that give it the Venice of America nickname. The appeal lies in this balance of relaxed beach life and refined sophistication. Wide golden sands meet an Intracoastal Waterway lined with private docks, while inland the city offers galleries, fine dining and walkable boulevards. Our luxury villas in Fort Lauderdale capture that duality, many set canal-side with their own moorings, heated pools and shaded terraces. It is a destination built for the water, where you can step from your villa to a yacht, then to dinner along Las Olas within minutes.
Where to stay
Choosing a neighbourhood shapes the whole stay. Harbor Beach and Harbor Heights sit closest to the ocean, with gated estates and direct beach access. Coral Ridge and Country Club Isles offer elegant residential calm along deep-water canals favoured by boat owners. Bay Harbor and Birch Ocean Front place you steps from the sand and the buzz of the central beachfront. Each area has its own character, from quiet family enclaves to lively shorefront addresses. Our collection spans these prime locations, so whether you want a secluded waterfront retreat or a villa within walking distance of the surf and the nightlife, there is a fitting base.
Things to do
Water defines the experience here. Charter a yacht or take a sightseeing cruise through the canals to admire the waterfront mansions, then return to Fort Lauderdale Beach for jet skiing, paddleboarding or simply the warm Atlantic. On land, Las Olas Boulevard rewards a slow wander past galleries, boutiques and pavement cafes. The historic Bonnet House Museum and Gardens offers lush grounds and art collections as a serene contrast to the shoreline. Families can explore the riverwalk and nearby nature reserves, while shoppers head to Sawgrass Mills. Autumn brings the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, one of the largest on earth, alongside the Las Olas Art Fair.
Dining and nightlife
Fort Lauderdale dines with confidence. Cafe Martorano serves theatrical Italian-American plates in a high-energy room, while The Capital Grille delivers prime steaks and a deep cellar for a polished evening. Louie Bossi's Ristorante is the spot for wood-fired pizza and house pasta on a generous outdoor patio. After dark, The Wharf draws crowds to its waterfront deck for live music and cocktails, Elbo Room keeps its beachfront, classic-rock heritage alive, and Sway Nightclub runs late with top DJs and bottle service. Your villa concierge can secure reservations and arrange private chefs for evenings spent at home by the pool.
When to visit and getting there
The prime season runs from November to April, when humidity drops and warm, dry days follow one another under clear skies. Summer is hotter and brings the chance of afternoon storms, though it rewards travellers with quieter beaches and lower rates. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport sits just south of the city, often under fifteen minutes from the beachfront, with extensive domestic and international connections. Miami International is roughly forty-five minutes away as an alternative. Once here a car is useful for exploring, though the central beach and Las Olas are easily walked. Our concierge can arrange transfers, car hire and yacht charters before you arrive.
