This amazing Villa is located in Tuscany between Lucca and Florence in the Montalbano Hills near the medieval village of Montecatini Alto. This large, historic Villa has been beautifully restored and refurnished with up-to-the-minute conveniences and comforts while carefully maintaining this estate home's rich character and history. The richly fertile and undulating Hills of Montalbano are famous for their food, olive oil, high-quality Tuscan wines, and a landscape filled with olive groves, vineyards, and forests. Many small medieval villages and hamlets are worth visiting throughout the area, each with local dishes, breads, wines, cheeses, and sausages. The Villa is close to many of the must-see destinations, including Firenze, Pisa, Lucca, Forte Dei Marmi and Vinci – the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci. The area is well known for its thermal resorts and spas, several tennis courts are close by, and the nearest golf club is only ten minutes from the Villa. The Park of Pinocchio is twenty minutes away and a delight with its park-like gardens and all the characters from the well-known children's story. Mature cypress, cedar, sycamore, oak, and limes shelter the Villa and its lawns. A large seventeen by nine-meter pool constructed entirely of travertine marble is set in an expansive terrace with sunbeds and seating areas. Two gazebos with couches and chairs lie at the far end of the pool, and a roofed terrace with comfortable sofas for lounging is found adjacent to one wing of the house. There is also a tiny, separate chapel on the estate. The Villa itself retains the character of a fine old Tuscan estate home.
