The traditional, sculpted wooden balconies of this Chalet peek out from amid the conifers, overlooking the snowy peaks. The crisp, clear light of the mountains floods in through the huge windows and adds to the sense of space created by the chalet’s high ceilings. The atmosphere is all about comfort, with thick fabrics and warm colours livening up the pinewood boards. In front of the stone fireplace, elegant green sofas are arranged around a black leather coffee table. Upstairs, the rustic wooden bunkbeds, fur blankets and thick, patterned curtains lend the chalet the feel of a classic mountain refuge. After a long day on the slopes or exploring the Sentier des Chamois, unwind in the hammam or the steaming hot jacuzzi, out on the sunny terrace. To work up an appetite for dinner, visit the nearby Laiterie de Verbier and learn how to make your own cheese. Then head back to the chalet to share a traditional Bagnes raclette, all gathered around the great wooden table.
