The Area and Where to Stay

When to Visit

Autumn brings golden larches and crisp, clear views, while late spring is peaceful and flower-filled, though some businesses pause between seasons. Getting There
Geneva Airport (GVA) is the natural gateway, around 70 kilometres away, with the drive taking a little over an hour on the autoroute towards Chamonix before climbing to the village. Lyon (LYS) is an alternative at roughly two hours. By rail, TGV services reach Sallanches-Combloux-Megève station in the valley, ten minutes below the village, with seasonal direct services from Paris. A car is useful for exploring the Pays du Mont-Blanc, though ski buses link Combloux with Megève and the lifts in winter.
